- Follow the Stars
- At the Circus
- Written in Stone
- Tonight
- Just for Fun
- Flying High
Bonus Tracks

Talking Is Hard
"Talking Is Hard" is an album by Walk The Moon; the band whose song we are using for our music video. Here is their Track List for that album.
Goodbye Lullaby
"Goodbye Lullaby" by Avril Lavigne has some bonus tracks written in the track list and I really like this and have taken inspiration from it and decided to add bonus tracks to my digipack.

Message From Band
Some CD covers have a message from the artist , and I've decided I would like to do this too. This will be on the inside of the digipack, but it is still undecided if its in the 2nd panel or the 3rd.
Here is an interview I found on Youtube including two of 'Walk The Moon's band members and I have picked out some quotes which are potential messages to go in the digipack.
"Ambition is something that has been a part of this band since the beginning"
"We strive for this"
"It's all about pushing yourself beyond what you think are your limitations"

Record Label
For the record label details on my digipack, I will just have a sentence or two at the bottom of the back cover stating who the rights of the album belong to.

Jaymes Young - I'll Be Good
The reason why this music video stands out to me is because it has a strong narrative while only having lip syncing.
Loud
This is the digipack for 'Loud' by Rihanna and the reason why I like this digipack is because the colours and the themes are consistent. The colour red and the image of roses are used throughout, which links all the sides of the digipack. Although this is what stood out to me, my digipack wont have consistent colours as it is an upbeat pop/indie song so I want to make it different. Also the song I am making the music video for is called 'Different Colours' and I believe this title should be represented in the digipack through the use of different colours.
Target Audience
Our target audience for the music video is the age range 13-21 as its a fun music video that almost anyone can enjoy

Trowel in the Coat
To put the trowel in the coat, we used a lot of duct tape. At first I was worried that the tape would be seen on camera, but as we are going for a comical music video this isn't an issue. The fact that the man sticks garden tools in his jacket using duct tape adds to his quirkiness and mysteriousness.

Riot!
The reason why I like this digipak is because the colours are consistent throughout. Along with the hand written lyrics and song titles it all comes together.

Bastille - Fake It
This music video has a strong narrative which is something I plan to have in my music video.
Filming Update
As of this moment we have filmed about 90% of our music video, all we have left to do is the girls digging up the box. We planned to film this today (Sunday 10th December 2017) but overnight it snowed heavily and now there will be a disruption of continuity if we filmed. Therefore, we will start editing what we have and wait until there is another clear, dry day where we can film.

School
One of the locations we are planning to use is the school, as this is where the girls find the map. I took some pictures of some of the shots we may use.For the first image we had the idea of them running down the stairs in excitement after finding the map.
The second image is just outside of the school, where all 3 girls meet up. The girls will also chain their bikes to this gate.

The third image comes before the second one, and this is were the two girls on bikes meet each other. One will come from the left, and the other from the right, and finally meet in the middle where the yellow and pink combine. I think this is a very important shot as the song is called "Different Colours" which is literally represented in the background. Also the song is about friendship and its where 2 of the 3 girls meet up.

Band Name - Roads to Rome
Out of the band names we chose, we narrowed it down to three
- New Tricks
- Roads to Rome

As we were indecisive as a group, we did a tally chart around the classroom and asked our peers which name they preferred.
- New Tricks III
- Roads to Rome
IIIIIIIIII - Heavy Egg II
Therefore, our band is now called 'Roads to Rome'.
Band Name Ideas
Here are some of the names we came up with as a group:

Mum - New Idea Opinion
"Take the risk and do something comical. It's a very quirky and fun idea but you have to somehow pull it off."

Shania - New Idea Opinion
"I don't think serious fits the song choice, so the humorous point of view is good."
Chiara - New Idea Opinion
I spoke to a few people about our idea to change our video into a obscure, funny one and this is Chiaras response:
"The song you have chosen suits the comical theme. When you add comedically actions to something it makes the whole thing more genuine than if it were to be serious, and adding a genuine tone makes it more authentic and less cheesy".

New ideas
We decided to make our music video more funny and wacky, but we didn't know if everyone else would like this idea. Therefore, we presented our idea to the class and asked them for their opinions.

Costume
The song we chose is called 'Different Colours' so we wanted this to be represented in the costume. Therefore I will be wearing bright yellow, Phoebe will wear red and Morgan will wear orange.

James Bay - Hold Back The River
Even though this music video is strictly performance, the song fits into the Indie Genre and the yellow and pink colours behind stand out against the dark lighting and spotlight.

Artist in Video 2
'Fly away with me' by Tom Walker is another example of the artist playing a cameo role. Here Tom Walker gives the homeless man some change, and he is only in the video himself for 15seconds. Even though this is such a short time, it has a huge impact as fans recognise him straight away, which is something we hope to achieve by having the artist in our music video. This way, if we were a real band, fans would recognise him the way Tom Walker was recognised in this video.

Artsist in Video
An example of an Indie videos where the artist appears as a cameo is 'Sleep on the Floor' by The Lumineers. In this video the main male actor is one of the band members.

Boy as the artist
One convention of real media products within the Indie Genre is having the artist play a role in the music video. Although we are not having any lip syncing, we decided he could play the mysterious character of the man in the trench-coat.

Shot Inspiration

These shots have from different music videos have given me inspiration for our own music video. As we are filming people on a journey, we could have shots of their feet as they walk, as seen in Kasabians "King for a Day" and DOROTHYs "Raise Hell". Another idea is wide shots of them walking or running down paths like the ones I have screen-shotted from DOROTHYs "Dark Nights" music video. Lastly we had the idea to film in a supermarket or shop too, e.g. getting some crisp or sweets for their journey. The screenshot I have taken is from "Peanut Butter Jelly" music video by Galantis. I chose this one as the shot shows both sides of the aisle which makes the audience focus on the person in the middle, and also gives a different lighting effect than outside.Wednesday, 1 November 2017
BORNS - American Money
The reason why I like this video is because of the dim lighting that is contrasted with pastel coloured clothes. My music video is the complete opposite to this which is why I believe this is a good video to refer to as it shows how diverse the Indie genre is.
